The building of the present House of Scientists was constructed in 1864-
1872 by the architect Rezanov. The palace belonged to the Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich, son of Emperor Alexander II. The halls of the palace are used for international and domestic science conferences, presentations, exhibitions, concerts, meetings.
